Choosing a photographeris one of the most important decisions you’ll make when planning your wedding. Of all your wedding expenses, your portraits will provide you with the most treasured and lasting memories of your special day. Many years after the ceremony is over, when the cake and flowers are gone and the dress is packed away, the portraits will live on. You must be selective in choosing a photographer, no two are alike. You’ll want someone you can trust, who will represent you in a professional manner and capture the memories that are important to you. There shouldn’t be short cuts, so compare the work, not just the price. There is a difference. Don’t trust a once-in-a-lifetime event, to a once-in-a-while photographer.
A professional photographer makes the difference between a picture and a portrait. Pictures only reflect what the camera sees, while a portrait interprets your personality and mood. That’s because experience gives a professional photographer a sixth sense about people. They know how to put you at ease, how to quickly “read” your unique personality, and how to recognize the expressions that best communicate the real you. Anyone can take a picture, but only a professional can create a portrait. Professional portraits aren’t expensive, they’re priceless! It takes time, effort and caring that average photographers aren’t equipped to offer.
We’re experienced in photographing weddings, and are happy to share our knowledge with you. Photography is our only business, and we take a great deal of pride in our experience, knowledge and professionalism. We don’t hire weekend photographers just to cover extra weddings, and we only do one wedding per day, so you don’t have to worry about us rushing through to get to another wedding. You'll not only get the knowledge of a Master Photographer, you’ll also get the an assistant to make sure things flow smoothly. Your wedding day will be filled with some of your most important memories, friends and love. Design Photography will make sure your wedding album captures those memories.
At Design Photography, we don’t believe in photographing every wedding exactly the same. That’s why Bob personally conducts the design consultation with each bridal couple about two months prior to the wedding. This allows you to choose the type of photographs which will reflect your individual personalities and life-style and help you put together a one-of-a-kind collection of highly personal portraits. We want to spend time creating images you want, rather than wasting it on images you don’t care about.
Design Photography offers coverage optionsthat include hours of coverage, touch ups on each photograph and finished albums. With most photographers today, all you get is a CD with all the raw, unedited .jpg files of the photos they took, including duplicates, blinks and images that didn't turn out. This leaves you with the hassles of having to do all the editing, retouching and layout yourself, which is by far the most time consuming part of the whole process. They do it that way because they simply don't want to work that hard. In most cases, you just end up with a bunch of photos stuck on a CD and never get them into an album to enjoy. It's not intentional, life just gets in the way. At Design Photography, we will help you through the whole process.
We personally invite you to arrange a no obligation visit, to view our unique style of photography and to discuss your wedding plans. This visit will provide you with a better understanding of our style and prices, so you can make the decision that’s right for you. We look forward to helping you design portraits that tell your wedding story with all the emotion and magic it deserves.
